About us
Rizal and Kashif are childhood friends who grew up playing games together while eating pizza. They used to go to each other's house to play games like Crash Bandicoot, Dynasty Warriors, Star Wars Battlefront, and Metal Slug - where splitscreen couch gaming became such an important part of their friendship! Games were such an integral part of their lives and through the years since their childhood, their friendship and bond through gaming remains as strong as ever.
With gaming becoming more and more prominent in our everyday lives, they naturally wanted to share the joy and fun of gaming with their friends, families, and significant others. However, they noticed that it’s not that easy to game with someone who doesn’t know the first thing about gaming. Seeing this, they decided that rather than wait for someone to make games that can be played by both experienced gamers and newcomers, they would do it themselves instead!
Our mission
At 1+1 Studios, we believe that gaming has the power to bring people together.
We are on a mission to create immersive and cooperative experiences that inspire teamwork, connection, and endless fun.
Our games are designed not just to be played but to be shared, fostering friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
Our focus
Inspired by those close to us, we realise gamers want to be able to share their experiences with their loved ones, regardless of their skill in gaming.
Taking inspiration from successful Co-Op focused games such as It Takes Two, we develop multiplayer games focusing on accessibility to players of different skill levels in what we call “Asymmetric Co-op”.
The team
Our strength lies in our previous know-how of business and startups, our love for gaming, and our experience playing games with players of varying skill levels and exposure to games.
A lifelong gamer with a background in Psychology and experience in working in Non-Profits and Startups. Rizal now finds himself with a blend of gaming enthusiasm, psychological insight, and startup know-how which has led him to follow his dream of creating a game studio!
An ex-neuroscientist who somehow found himself heading the business & partnerships team at a Corporate Film Studio, Kashif left the film industry to follow his dream to start a game studio and spends most of his time looking through excel sheets when all he wants to do is make music.
